I’ve set up this site to facilitate discussion and dialogue related to my current writing projects, and to share philosophical reflections on the examined life and the good society. I have recently completed a book entitled Character : A personal and public good, which explores the attributes required of citizens and the state (and its political leaders) if we are to lead flourishing lives. If you are interested in philosophy, and the ideas of contemporary thinkers like Martha Nussbaum, Michael Sandel, John Rawls, Alasdair MacIntyre and  Ronald Dworkin we probably have a lot in common. Also very fond of  Aristotle, John Stuart Mill and Karl Marx. Oh…and jazz, too.
